We are the Derby and South Derbyshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Walk along the River Dove in typical White Peak countryside, through three dales. From the cp, a short walk down Dale Bottom road to enter Milldale at Lode Lane, just ver an ancient bridge. Walk upriver, passing the stepping stones at Gipsy Bank, into Wolfscote Dale then Beresford Dale, with its weirs and resonance of Izaak Walton's and Charles Cotton's fishing trips. Continue across fields to Hartington for lunch (and toilets if needed). Return via Biggin Dale and Millldale.
Mainly slight undulations, no steep hills.
