Overview

A moderate walk of seven miles that starts from Minera lead mines country park. We ascend up through the quarry before crossing through some fields with rough pasture.

We then follow the road for a short distance before following a good track to the trig point on top of Esclusham Mountain. There are wonderful views from here towards Cyrn-y-Brain and across to Moel Famau and the Cheshire plains.

We then descend into the quarry and follow a disused railway line back to the start. We will pass numerous lead mines and lime kilns on the walk.
