A relatively gentle saunter that starts with a stroll around the village and its environs before heading out to Brown’s Folly and fine views across the Avon Valley. A descent down through the local woodland, evidently haunted by the ghost of ‘Sally in the Woods’, follows before a brief and close encounter with the A363. Tracks and lanes with views across West Wiltshire bring the walk back to the King’s Arms, evidently the most haunted pub in the region ….. remember this is the season of All Hallows’ Day, now corrupted by the Americans into Halloween. Bring snack.
