Update from leader 10 December
You will not be surprised to learn that it is very soggy up on the moors. However, during the recce today whilst it was soft underfoot and muddy in places it was easy walking. I crossed two streams without difficulty but I did have to climb over a five bar gate as the farmer had placed a lock on it! I am sure most of our agile walkers will be able to negotiate such an obstacle. There are a number of fences and locked gates on this part of the moors. The distance confirmed as 6 miles and fairly easy walking. Just hope the weather will be a good as it has been today. Look forward to seeing you on the walk.
