We are the Alton Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start from the car park of The White Hart and out into the surrounding countryside then return to Alton Town and make our way up to the Flood Meadows. We will then return to The White Hart for Coffee via St Swithun's Way.
Please bring a drink and snack. There will be a short stop, 10 mins or so at the flood meadows. Suitable Winter walking wear is required and walking boots, walking shoes.
The walk has a few climbs but nothing too taxing. It may also be muddy. Hopefully we'll see a few wild birds at the flood meadows, coots, moor hens and ducks.
