Overview

Anni will lead her first Ramblers walk as a walk leader from Stanstead Abbotts. This will be a leisurely circular walk of approximately 6 miles.  We will walk through the village of Stanstead Abbotts  before turning and heading for the riverside path along the River Lee, passing Lee Valley Marina and Amwell Nature Reserve with its wildlife, view points and hides (don’t forget to bring your binoculars!).  Also there is a very nice coffee hut called "Tea on the Lea" with excellent coffee and cakes for those who might want something en-route.

We will then enjoy the Hertfordshire open countryside before heading back to the pub for an optional lunch.  Food options can be chosen from the bar menu or the walkers menu -- see web link below. In addition to the web-menu shown, a pie of the day will also be available at £ 14.95.

Please send your lunch orders to the walk leader by e-mail or text message no later than noon on Wednesday 26th February.
