Starting at the recently closed Muiravonside Church we cross the Union Canal and make our way through woodland to Causewayend Basin where the canal boats are berthed. Coffee break will be at the also recently closed Bridge 49 on the canal. We then cross back over the canal to the towpath and make our way over the Avon Aqueduct, the second longest in Britain. After this we join the John Muir Trail and the Avon Heritage Trail through the woods to the Avon Lagoon. We will have a lunch stop around here. We make our way back to the towpath and follow it back to the start point.
