Overview

An enjoyable and varied walk taking in a small stretch of coast, some East Devon Villages along the River Otter, and beautiful wooded sections.

We start from the car park (free of charge) and head south to meet the coast path staying on it for a brief time before heading inland towards Otterton. We may nip into the Otterton Mill Farm Shop / Cafe for refreshment or a hot toddy unless people need too much persuasion!

After this, we head up the bank of the Otter towards Colaton Raleigh and then to Newton Poppleford. Then on to the beautiful Harpford Wood with it's mysterious little tunnel under the old railway line....

After this we'll saunter on in the direction of Bowd, Stowford and then more woodland at Bulverton Hill and soon after this back to the car park.

A great day out in East Devon!
