Overview

Description: Join Zoe from Ramblers Cymru as she takes us on one of the 145 Welsh Paths to Wellbeing Routes.

We will be exploring a route that takes us along a cycle path, farm tracks and woodland as we journey around the mountain of Allt-y-grug.

Zoe has been out to check the route prior to the walk and advises that one field will have tufts of rushes, so walking poles are recommended.  There may also be a stretch of mud in the Allt-y-grug Woodland.

Ramblers Cymru has worked with 18 communities across Wales to develop community routes to promote walking and improve health.

There is a website which will tell you more about the routes and maybe one of you would like to lead a future walk on one of them.

As well as Zoe, there will be other staff of Ramblers Cymru with us to tell us more about the project.  Come along and celebrate the hard work the staff and community have put in to clear vegetation, install new gates and add path furniture.

Zoe will be at the café about 10.30 a.m. for a Bacon Sarnie and you are welcome to join her there for a brew or a late breakfast!

Social after walk

Afterwards we can drive 3 minutes up the road to Clock Works Pub by Tesco (large pub car park off the roundabout after the Aubrey Arms roundabout).
