Mynydd Illtud Common

On this walk we’ll take in a cemetery, ruin & earthwork, cross over Sarn Helen Roman road, visit an old quarry, skirt around the upper walls of the common, and make our way over to the Trig pillar and remains of the Iron age hillfort at Twyn y Gaer. With luck, we’ll have a clear day to give us far reaching views over to the Beacons, Black Mountains and well into mid Wales. The walk is pretty easy under foot.
