Overview

This short and relatively gentle walk starts through Lorton Meadows Nature Reserve (Dorset Wildlife Trust). There are lovely views over Weymouth Bay towards Portland as we walk down to the sea shore. We return via the RSPB's Lodmoor Bird Reserve.

Weymouth Park and Ride car park (free). The walk will start from near to the toilet block which, unfortunately, doesn't open until July. The park and ride car park is clearly marked on the road from Dorchester but take care if using the postcode because there is no housing nearby.
