Overview

Starting in Dalmellington this is a circular walk by road and track up to site of where the observatory used to be over the hills to the Round House cafe for lunch. Then back along the river and by road to the start. Can be muddy and steep in parts so gaiters and poles may be of use.

Grade B+
The Round House cafe only takes card payments.
Plan to go to Dobbies Garden Centre on the way back down the road.
