A lovely walk with lattice windowed lodges, black and white cottages, three churches, a manor house and fine views of Alscot Park. All this within the first two miles, as we follow the River Stour and the Shakespeare Way. Great Warwickshire farmland, with "controlled" mud reduced by use of quiet country lanes.
The Publican will provide a Pensioners' Carvery @ £13.95. on that Tuesday.
If you would like to car share, we are meeting at Lady Byron Lane, Knowle (Old Warwick Road) Solihull B93 9AG (near J5 of the M42) for a departure time of 09:15 am. Lifts are subject to availability. This is a round trip of approx. 70 miles and a voluntary donation of £8 is considered to be a reasonable contribution towards the costs incurred by the driver.
Walk starts from The New Inn, Clifford Chambers. Please allow time to pre-order food, If not eating or drinking please park alongside St Helens Church further into the village. Richard will meet you there.
