Overview

The trail begins with a gentle ascent through the grounds of Newark Park, a Tudor hunting lodge with a rich history dating back to the 16th century. As you climb, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the Ozleworth Valley. The initial 2 km (1.2 miles) of the trail will take you through well-maintained paths surrounded by ancient woodlands, The trail leads you to the quaint village of Boxwell. This section, approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) from the start, is relatively flat and offers a peaceful walk-through open fields and hedgerows. Boxwell is known for its charming stone cottages and the historic Boxwell Court, a private estate.
