We are the Chelmer & Blackwater Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This walk is an addition to the emailed programme (start time from Colliers Wood Underground Stn confirmed as 11:15, or meet others at Liverpool Street (opposite platform 14) at 10:15 to travel there).

NB: You will need food for lunch as there are no convenient pubs or cafes. There's a Sainsbury’s at the start for a toilet break and to buy food. After a mile we pass Merton Abbey Mill where there are also toilets and a coffee shop. It’s all parks then, with no towns, until we reach Carshalton at the end of the walk. The train station is away from High Street.
Meet at Liverpool Street (platform 14) at 10:15 to travel together; then the actual Start is 11:15 at Colliers Wood Underground Station (Northern Line). Best to buy a one-day Travel Card as Carshalton (end point) is in Zone 6 and not on TFL. You can’t use an Oyster Card.
End: Carshalton Beeches Railway Station (swim.shapes.handle) - regular overground trains back to London Bridge (takes 30 minutes).
