A walk through woodland and orchards on grassy paths and rough tracks, mainly off road, with a section of pavement walking through Pembury. Slightly hilly, three stiles, likely to be muddy in places after rain. Follows parts of the Tunbridge Wells Circular Walk and High Weald Walk. Nibble break in Pembury village on the green (bring your own refreshments).
Places of interest: St Peter's Old Church at the start of the walk dates from the 12th century, we also pass Pembury waterworks. On Pembury green there is a horse trough which commemorates Marjorie Polley who in 1555 was burnt at the stake in Tonbridge for her Protestant faith. In the woodland, we will cross a brick footbridge, thought to be the site of a dam between 2 millponds where JMW Turner painted his watercolour called Pembury Mill.
Car share recommended. There is limited roadside parking near St Peter's Old Church, Old Church Road, Pembury, TN2 4BN. Just off the A228 between Paddock Wood and Pembury.
