From Ollerton we walk to Boughton Brake along the River Maun and then on to Kirton. We walk over some of the quarry paths which could be very muddy, especially after rain. Although it is a bit of a blot on the landscape, it is interesting to see how it has been planted and rewilded. Some fairly steep, but short inclines lead us to a pleasant walk through the woods and back to Ollerton. Some lovely views.
NOTE: The route will now go through Ollerton rather than along the River Maun and Whitewater Bridge due to the flooding. Fortunately there is a footpath most of the way.
