We are the Cambridge Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A 'dumbbell' shaped walk, with first loop around Orwell then up over the chalk ridge for second loop through the Eversdens, returning over the chalk ridge and back into Orwell via the clunch pit.
The walk is timed to allow for a coffee break at the delightful Orwell Pannier Market. This takes place between 10am-12pm on the first Saturday of the month at Orwell recreation ground during summer (weather permitting). It is the biggest local village market with around 25+ stalls featuring local food, artisan food, crafts, etc. There are usually hot drinks & food for sale, but bring your own mid-morning drink/snack if preferred.
We will have a lunch stop in Great Eversden so bring drink/food for this.

Walk starts at 10am from the village hall car park off Orwell High Street. This is down a rather inconspicuous small road on the other side of the High Street to the village hall; turning to car park has a green Public Footpath sign, and is just opposite the thatched archway of no 32.
