The walk starts in Overton, where we head out of the village past St Mary's Church and along Court Drove to join the Harrow Way, which we follow to Ash Bed plantation. We then head down towards Free Folk, where we can see Manor cottages, one of the longest thatched buildings in Britain, before heading over to Bere Mill. Here we turn back over higher ground towards Laverstock, home of the now Bombay Sapphire Gin distillery (once the paper mill for Bank of England bank notes). On our way, we will visit the small St Nicholas Church at Free Folk to see its wall paintings. After leaving Laverstock, we head up hill through woods and over fields to Laverstock Grange farm returning along tracks and fields via Abra Barrow and Turrill Hill farm into Overton.
Some of the tracks may be rough underfoot along with some overgrowth and long grass.
Dress according to the prevailing weather on the day.
