This walk in Parc Slip Nature Reserve will include a visit to the memorial for the mining disaster that occurred on 26th August 1892 when 112 miners died during an explosion underground.
The area has been reclaimed as a nature reserve with little now to remind us of the industrial heritage here.
We’ll view the historic Ironworks from the perimeter fence as there is no longer access to the site.
