This walk has a steep descent with obstacles on the path and a long steep ascent towards the end - these aspects make the walk at the top end of moderate so please come prepared - walking poles would be useful. The walk goes through woodlands, farmland, the deer park at Parham House, Amberley village and the South Downs Way. You will rewarded with glorious views if we have a clear day. There are five stiles and the potential for some mud. No toilets enroute. There will a morning break stop in Parham and a lunch stop in Amberley Village.
Kithurst Hill car park is poorly signposted - nothing if you are approaching from the right and just a small wooden sign, once you are on top of it, if approaching from the left. If you are not familiar with this carpark, you may want to allow extra time.
