Overview

This walk covers the length of Chidham to Emsworth, heading inland at Emsworth.  The path is fully open again (after damage last year) and will allow us to walk along the shore with fantastic views of Chichester Harbour and all the yachts, etc on the water.  The walk includes the chance to see a variety of birds and also unusual dwellings at Emsworth, near the Yacht Club. Part of the walk in the afternoon goes inland, offering shade if it is a hot day.

Although the walk is quite long, it is all on a level with a small part of it walking along the shore on pebbles. Later, there will be the opportunity to call in on a wonderful, traditional pub with a lovely beer garden and toilet facilities (about half mile from end of walk). No dogs. Bring a picnic.

Cobnor Farm Amenity Car Park, approached via Chidham Lane. The car park is a bit obscure to find, especially when the trees are full of leaves. (If you see a sign for 'Private Road', 'Cobnor House' or 'No Entry', you have literally just driven past the entrance to the Car Park.) Car share if possible.
