We are the Southwold (Yate) Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From Tortworth farm shop car park, we head past the church and ancient chestnut tree, across meadows to Avening Green , then follow the river past Charfield to Churchend, where we have a break. We then pass by the working quarry where we may have a short wait if blasting is in progress. More fields and lanes back to Tortworth.
Not much climbing. Fairly flat with a few stiles.
Food available after walk in farm shop cafe.
Parking at Tortworth Farm shop top car park. Car park on right hand side of road, on the way to Tortworth Farm Shop. Park at the bottom of the car park, furthest away from the shop. Meet at 9:45 for 10:00 start.
