Overview

Coach leaves Fairfield Street (NOT Chorlton Street) at 8.50 am, picking up in Sedgeley Park at approx 9.10 and Prestwich at approx 9.15

Three walks (no walk A)

Walk 1 (B)  Strenuous 11 miles Leader: Eric 

Circular from Pateley Bridge: River Nidd to Foster Beck, West Lane, Coldstones Cut, loop round to cross B6265 to Bridgehouse Gate, Pateley Bridge. 1426 ft ascent, highest point 1342 ft.

 

Walk 2 (C)  Moderate 8½ miles Leader: Ian    

Linear from Glasshouses, along River Nidd, crossing at Hartwell Hall, Smelthouses, Brimham Moor, Nidderdale Way, Blazefield, Pateley Bridge. 1246ft ascent.  

  

Walk 3 (D) Easy/moderate  7 miles  Leader: Geoff 

Linear from Summerbridge, Brimham Rocks, Maud’s Farm, Smelthouses, Knox Hall, River Nidd into Pateley Bridge.

 

Coach will leave Pateley Bridge at 6 p.m.

The ground may be muddy so please wear suitable footwear. Please bring a change of shoes, boot covers or something to clean your boots before getting back on the coach.

PLEASE NOTE: This month the coach will not start at Chorlton Street. Instead, it will start from Fairfield Street, at the bus stop opposite Piccadilly Station taxi rank. This is because it is the Manchester Pride Festival and roads will be closed or traffic disrupted. The start time (8.50am) remains unchanged.
