This is a walk from Whaley Bridge Canal Basin following the canal and Peak Forest Tramway to Chapel Milton, returning via The Courses, Laneside, Hallhill Farm,Lidgate, Eccles Fold, Sunart and Bings Wood.
A stop will be made for drinks around 11am and lunch around 1pm so bring food and drink.
Also water proofs and good boots are essential at this time of year.
Anyone wishing to join the walk is advised to inform walk leader in advance , providing contact details in order that you can be advised of any last minute changes.
The walk will be along various tracks and paths with (at this time of year) puddles and some muddy patches. We will pass along canal and river with woodland and ascend onto open ground with potential for extensive views of this area of the High Peak. The route with level to start followed by some gradual ascent and descent.
