Overview

N.B. This walk will be very strenuous over difficult terrain with uneven paths. The estimated finish time will be 3:30 p.m.

If weather is bad, we will have to reschedule.

We will walk up the path to Pen y Fan then head towards (but not up) Cribyn and Fan y Big on another stony and uneven path.  We will pass below them on an old Roman road.  

After reaching the Lower Neuadd Reservoir, we will walk up a steep path onto a high ridge. The walk will continue towards (but not onto) Corn Du before returning to the car park.

Afterwards, we will go for refreshments (Venue to be decided on the day).

Directions:

From Swansea, leave by Fabian Way A483 and follow signs to Neath A465 then continue on the A465 towards Merthyr.

At the Hirwaun Roundabout, take the A4059 towards Brecon until you reach the A470. Turn left onto A470.

The Pont ar Daf Car Park is about a mile further up the road (on your right).

The Storey Arms Car Park is another half a mile up the road.
