The walk starts across open fields to the village of Winchmore Hill. We then follow wide paths in Penn Wood before passing through the grounds of Penn House on the way back to the start via Common Wood. 400 feet of ascent with several short, moderate climbs. No stiles.
Start: On the Common opposite the Red Lion pub in Elm Road, Penn. Park around the Common and Pond or in School Road. Lunch has been arranged at the Red Lion for those interested - please arrive in good time to make your menu choices before we set off.
