This is a very scenic walk in the Pentlands Hills. The ascent for this walk is very gentle except the walk up the Kirkgate which is half a mile of 110 metres ascent.
From our start point at Pentland View Car Park, we walk up Kirkgate to the top of Whiteside Plantation, then down to Maiden Cleugh towards Glencorse Reservoir. Continuing to Loganlea Reservoir and turn right along Green Cleugh to walk to Threipmuir and Harlaw Reservoirs and returning to our start point via Duncan’s Belt and Lymphoy.
If you would like to join us, please contact the Walk Leader to book a place in advance, noting that for some walks places may be limited. Please advise the walk leader of any issue that may affect your ability to complete the walk, if you intend to travel independently to the start of the walk, and/or if you are willing to drive/car share from the meeting point.
Also, if you have one, please remember to bring your ICE card with you; or, if you don’t have one, a note of your proposed emergency contact name and number will be required in case of emergency.
As conditions underfoot can vary, stout walking shoes/ boots, gaiters and walking poles, if you use them, are recommended.
Please note that, unfortunately, dogs cannot be accommodated on our walks.
All finishing times are approximate.
