The Pentland Loop

The    Walk  begins from the main street in Silverburn Village adjacent to the A702. We start by walking north across the A702 and into the Pentland Hills and then follow the path for 3 miles to the base of West Kip. Here we rest for coffee before turning West onto the` Red Road.` After 1 mile we intercept the Moorland Path where we turn East and walk for a further mile into the Valley of the Green Cleach and turn North. After another mile we enter the vicinity of Bavehall Castle where we stop in a wooded area with stunning views and rest for lunch. Thereafter we continue on the path for a short section before turning South, again onto the `Red Road`. This takes us back to the base of West Kip from where we re-trace our steps back to Silverburn.
