Overview

Linear walk along the river Colne to Wivenhoe along the Wivenhoe trail.  Subject to clear skies we may be lit along the way by a pink moon. (Please note the pink moon is the first full moon after the spring equinox and is not necessarily pink.  All will be explained on the night)

As dusk falls, we may also be lucky enough to hear the song of the Nightlingale.  They are starting to arrive for the summer.

Please bring a torch of some description as it may be gloomy towards the end.

There will be an optional stop at a pub in wivenhoe at the end of the walk.  There are trains and buses back to the Colchester station and beyond.
