We are the Doncaster Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Having rejected our Plan A walk because of concerns about walkers' safety and cleaning bills, this is Plan B. We follow good paths and tracks around woodland and across fields to Everton for our morning stop. From here we continue to Mattersey and then head back towards Everton on tracks which will be muddy but manageable. We then cross the A631 to Barrow Hills woods for our lunch stop. After lunch we follow a pleasant twisting path through the woods back to our cars.
From Bawtry take the A631 Gainsborough road to park in the layby on the dual carriageway, opposite the turning to Scaftworth. Space is limited, so car sharing would be helpful. There is also a layby on the opposite side of the dual carriageway.
