We are the West Midlands 40+Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A leisurely flat circular walk along the Coventry canal towpath, across fields, farmland and paths around Pooley Country Park with a short section of road walking. There are options to visit the remains of Alvecote Priory and a steep walk to a viewpoint overlooking pools and countryside. Lunch will be at Pooley Country Park, where there is a cafe and toilet facilities with benches outside to eat a packed lunch. There is an option of a pub stop after the walk.
