We walk from Portbury village, climbing gradually through Prior's Wood towards Charlton Farm and the Downs school. We cross Portbury Lane (a busy road) before a short climb to our coffee stop.We descend into Lower Failand and walk down Failand Lane before following footpaths back to Portbury, passing Portbury church en route.
Suitable footwear essential as paths may be muddy. Care needed when crossing and walking along Portbury Lane.
Suggest you bring a snack and drink for mid walk break.
Refreshments available afterwards at the Priory pub.
