We get off the bus as it turns off the main road towards Bellever. At first the walk is on tracks through the forest, but shortly emerges into well-tracked open moorland littered with Bronze Age remains: settlement, cist, stone row etc. Coffee at Bellever Tor. Largely well-tracked moorland beyond to Cherrybrook Bridge. We pass by Prince Hall farm and lunch at the Dartmoor Park Centre before crossing the West Dart. Now for half a mile of trackless moorland before we join the Conchies Path at Cholake Head. This path passes the legendary Crock of Gold cist on the way to Princetown and the Fox Tor café (if desired!) More details in the latest Links Magazine if you get one.
