A circular walk around the Bere Peninsula from Bere Ferrers Railway Station, along Tavy bank, up a narrow wooded valley, across the top on hedged lanes to a lunch spot on a grass-covered knoll of old mine spoil. Good views across the Tamar as we follow a ridge-line track back along and down to a final lane back to the station for a possible cream tea in the old railway carriages.
Access most easily by train, meet early at Plymouth Station for a cheaper joint ticket, or join at an intermediate station. 10.28 from Plymouth, 10.45 at Bere Ferrers; 15.42 return.
Cream teas bookable on the website; or phone me to organise in advance.
