The walk includes history of the area. A short easy incline by the Motor Cross Track. We walk down Hobs Hole Lane, around the golf course and down Back Lane, then around a different part of the golf course back to the cars. Advisable to keep cars in the car park and walk to the venue for the meal, about 5 mins walk, as parking in Aldridge near the venue is difficult and 3 hrs parking allowed maximum, wherever you manage to park.
Please arrive at the start at least 10 minutes before the advertised start time to allow a prompt start.
We regret we cannot allow dogs other than assistance dogs on weekend Walsall Group walks.
Walkers should check on www.walsallramblers.org.uk that the walk has not been cancelled before leaving home.
Personal medication, e.g. asthma inhalers and angina sprays, must be carried by the walkers themselves.
All walkers should carry an ICE card or a contact number in case of emergency.
Booking is not necessary for this walk but is necessary for the meal afterwards.
York's Bridge on the B4154 between Pelsall and the A5 Turf Island will be closed on the date of this walk.
Accessible by public transport (National Express routes 6, 7, 937 or 997 or Chaserider routes 36 or 36A or Walsall Community Transport route 25 and short walk)
Aldridge Church Hall car park, The Green, Aldridge. We've been asked to park near the car park exit, as the Church Hall is having a Christmas Meal for the disabled.
