We are a friendly, socially active Ramblers Group welcoming all who enjoy walking. Our walks programme is extensive and varied covering all days of the week.
Leaving Purley Station from the exit on platform 6, ascend Riddlesdown, mainly on pavements, then good paths and gentle descent to cross A22 and steep climb by steps up to Kenley airfield, across wild flower meadows on Coulsdon Common to pub/picnic at The Fox. After lunch, cross Happy Valley, then through woodland and more meadows to Farthing Downs (Toilet stop) and probably IC van, then descent to Coulsdon South station. All travel within FP & London Zones. Text leader by 6:00pm Monday 26th May to book lunch at The Fox.
East Croydon station - Catch 10:06 Thameslink train on platform 6, which leaves London Bridge at 9:51 arrive Purley 10:13. (Alternatively London Victoria service leaves Victoria at 9:38, Clapham Junction at 9:45, East Croydon at 09:56 arriving Purley at 10:01).
