Well defined walkways. No hills or stiles and wildlife can be seen across the marshes with views across the Thames. Mostly marshland inland but some land has been drained for agricultural use. Bring a packed lunch as we will stop at Plumpudding Island with sea views.
Terrain: Part concrete path and then across country to Reculver Towers (the Viking Trail). The marshes going towards Reculver can be very wet after rain as the grass is long. After a break we walk the Thanet Coastal Path (which is a promenade) to Wantsum and then go inland over the Wade Marsh via Hedgend back to Shuart Lane.
Meet and park in St Nicholas-at-Wade. Park considerately in Shuart Lane next to the church, or nearby roads. Nearest post code CT7 0NG.
