The climbing is all at the beginning of the walk and isn't too arduous. It's muddy in places but on the recce - which was a similar temperature to Saturday's forecast -  the wet ground was crunchy rather than soggy. However there are several dilapidated or high stiles that are difficult to clamber over. Also in a few places the terrain is rough or slippery so walking sticks would be useful.
