Meet at 10am at Ham Pond on Ham Common (nearest postcode TW10 7JQ) for a walk around Richmond Park. Roadside parking available on Ham Common. We will venture through Ham Common Woods to Ham Gate, where one toilet is available (20p credit card payment required). We will then skirt the Isabella Plantation with an alfresco coffee break 2 miles into the walk. We will continue on to Kingston Gate, after which we will follow the perimeter to Robin Hood Gate (several toilets available). From there, we'll take a short walk to Pen Ponds Car Park, where there is a kiosk selling a variety of sandwiches etc. This will be our lunch stop. There are picnic benches and shaded areas under the trees. Please note that the kiosk may be busy so a picnic is recommended.
After lunch we'll walk around Pen Ponds, returning to Ham Gate (ice cream, refreshments and toilet available). The last leg is through the other side of Ham Common Woods back to the cars. The New Inn pub near the end of the walk will be open should anyone wish to have further refreshment.
