Overview

Leaving Ripley we walk on a track initially alongside Ripley parkland then onto Burnt Yates. From here we walk across fields to the hamlet of Shaw Mills and then along the Nidderdale Way  for a short distance. We then walk in a southerly direction to Birstwith where we pick up the Nidderdale Way again and walk close to the River Nidd to Hampsthwaite. After a short climb up to Hollybank Lane we continue on the Nidderdale Way back to Ripley.

No dogs please as there may be cattle in the fields.
