Overview

Walk on field paths crossing Haunders Lane, and head for River Douglas. Then use river side path to go up river to Carr House Bridge, then head for Much Hoole, then continue to Marsh House Farm. Then use a path to head back to River Douglas and then return to the start point.

Start outside St Michaels and All Angels Church, on Liverpool Old Rd - near the primary school. If you like old churches then it is worth a look round - it is usually open.
