Overview

Come on a trip to Nairn! We’ll meet at Inverness train station at 9.30 a.m. (ensure you buy your ticket in advance) to get the 9.46 a.m. train to Nairn (20–25 minutes’ journey).

From the train station we’ll head towards the harbour to begin our walk.

We’ll take a lovely gentle stroll along the banks of the River Nairn, going down the east side of the river, then crossing over and up the west side of it, back into Nairn town. The walk itself will take about 2 hours.

We’ll go to The Highland Weigh café after for lunch/cake/hot drinks. They serve vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free meals. The Highland Weigh is also a zero-waste refill shop, so feel free to bring containers to stock up on rice, lentils, etc. (www.thehighlandweigh.co.uk/)

We’ll get the return train at either 14.49 or 15.38.
