Overview

Travel by bus, train or park in one of the Reading car parks and meet by the Maiwand Lion in Forbury Gardens. Although the full walk is 10 miles, it is possible to shorten the walk by catching a bus or train back from specific points. It is a circular walk primarily on footpaths and not roads. The walk takes in the Kennet and Holybrook to Southcote and then Prospect Park, Lousehill Copse, McIlroy Park and Arthur Newbery Park before returning along the Thames Path. BRING A PACKED LUNCH.
