We are the Dorset 4050 Ramblers. We are a friendly, mixed-age group of walkers.
Starting at the car park at Rockford, we will walk past Moyles Court School and head up through Mockbeggar onto Ibsley Common and then make our way over to Fritham Plain. We will drop down to Dockens Water and ford the river and walk up to Ocknell Plain and into Milkham Enclosure to the outskirts of Linwood before crossing Rockford Common back to our start point.
Paths are a mixture of gravel tracks and grass which can be wet with shallow standing water after heavy rain. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear some areas may be muddy and we will be fording one river where the depth may vary. No toilet facilities on route, please bring a packed lunch.
Optional refreshments can be taken at the Alice Lisle Pub after the walk .

There is free parking in the car park below Three Tree Hill or across the ford by Moyles Court School. Use the bridge to the west of the ford if travelling by car and the river is high.
