Overview

Circular Walk : Trent and Mersey Canal towpath from Broughton Arms towards Hassall Green.  Footpaths across fields to Salt Line.  Salt Line to Alsager.  Lanes and tracks back to Rode Heath Rise and canal. There will not be a a rest/drinks break during the walk however tea/coffee/brew is available at The Broughton Arms, if desired, after the walk. Total ascent: 220ft(Contact the leader to request a place. It is possible that you will be turned away if you arrive at the starting point without a confirmed place on the walk.
