Overview

We go NE via field paths to join the Dane Valley Way, which is followed as far as Wincle Brewery at Danebridge. We then go N past Hammerton farm and then on up to the Wild Boar Inn on the Congleton to Buxton Road. We turn back SW before changing to NW at Lower Greasley, up Nabbs Hill and then above Spring Fields farm up to Wincle Minn. We follow the Minn down a short while before turning off Left towards Marek Knowles and then Nettle beds before joining the Gritstone Trail at Dumkins. We follow the trail down to where it meets the Dane Valley Way, then cross the river, head up the track and then branch off right to follow field paths back to the road leading down to the Knot inn.
