Overview

A day walk, followed by optional pre/post dinner drinks and meal which you can turn into a mini getaway if you so wish. Let me know if you will stay over (probably Leek area is best) so I can put you in touch with others, so you have the option to walk together the next day.

Forget your worries and put your head in 'Bosley Cloud' for the day.

Setting off from Rushton Spencer, located within a hilly landscape before ascending to the extraordinary Neolithic tomb of Bridestones and craggy Bosley Cloud. Offering a magnificent panoramic 360 degree viewpoint across the Marches towards Wales, the Pennines and the Peak District over lunch.

On the descent, see if we're lucky enough to spot emus and wallabies, a change from the usual farmyard animals. Carrying on down taking us through the River Dane’s many curves and turns of the wooded valley and walking alongside a reedy historic canal goit (a small artificial channel carrying water).

We skirt round Heaton before heading back to the start point.
