Come and join me on this pleasant walk in the Arden countryside. Autumn should be resplendent in its finest colours.
The walk is in a figure of 8. The first section is 4.5 miles and the second section is 2.75 miles.
From Sambourne village green we will head towards Coughton, entering Coughton Park - an area of extensive woodland, where we will have our coffee stop. In the wood we have a fair chance of seeing roe deer. Returning to Sambourne we will follow the intriguingly named Thundering Ditch. We will have our lunch stop on the village green, opposite the pub, where drinks can be obtained.
For those doing the full 7.25 mile walk, we will do a circuit across fields in the direction of Astwood Bank.
We will follow good field paths, meadows where the path is fenced off to keep walkers and dogs apart from farm animals, a couple of ploughed fields and short sections of lanes.
There are only 2 easy to use stiles.
