Come and join me on this lovely Easter walk in the Cotswolds. From the pretty village of Ebrington we will climb steadily to Ebrington Hill Farm, with extensive views of the stunning Cotswold countryside. We will continue to the 18th C. Foxcote House. From there the walk descends back to Ebrington, passing woods with early signs of bluebells.
Our lunch break will be on the benched village green opposite the pub. Here you can see the Millenium Mosaic which acts as a sundial.
After lunch we will head south to Paxford, crossing an airstrip. After Paxford we will pass through the streamside Plantation, then cross The Gallop before taking tracks and lanes back to Ebrington.
We will use field and woodland paths, tracks and lanes.
There are toilets at the pub.
There are 7 good quality stiles and a few step over bridges.
This is a Figure of Eight walk.
The first section is 3.75 miles and the second section is 3.25 miles.
